Lecture Slides:

This resource is set up so that as you teach the PowerPointstudents follow along in their own student booklet. There are 161 slides that include maps, primary source images, vocabulary, and more. The slides are set up in an organized way to make teaching easy. Plus keep students accountable as they follow along in their booklet.

 

Student Guided Notes Booklet:

To save you time, the student booklet is set up to just print and staple so that students have everything in one place. As you move through the PPT slides, students fill in notes, add vocabulary, answer questions, and complete additional activities that correspond to the PPT slides. All of the map skills, reading passages, and scaffolded questions are included in the student packet. This is a great way to keep your students organized while also accountable as you move through the unit.

Gallery Walk:

This inquiry-based activity focuses on the question "What was life like for a soldier on the front lines of World War One?" Transform your classroom into a museum or gallery by having students view 30+ primary source images from World War 1 organized by topic. Arrange the descriptive images around the classroom. Students rotate through stations, and record data to reach a conclusion regarding the overarching question.

16 exit tickets are included that can serve as a quick assessment throughout the unit.

 

Editable Assessment:

A ready-to-go 4-page assessment is provided which includes true/false, multiple-choice, fill in the blank, and short answer. An editable copy is also included.
